Manzurul Islam alias Bimala has shown the last glimpse of Natore-1 (Lalpur-Bagatipara) seat. He was former BNP's former associate secretary. He is also known as BNP leader in the area. But because he was not expected to get nomination from the BNP, he collected nomination papers on behalf of the united front Krishak Sramik Janata League.
But on Sunday, the last day of withdrawal of nomination was not given to him at the same time. At around 3:30 pm, BNP candidate Kamrunnahar handed over the letter of unofficial final nomination to the returning officer. In the hour of this, Manjurul Islam was nominated for the election of 'One of the peak' as the single candidate of the united front. The final nomination papers of Kamrunnahar are excluded.
At the last moment Manjurul Islam rushed to the rice ear, with the news spread that there was a storm of joy in the BNP camp of Lalpur-Bagatipara. In particular, the part of BNP which was known as anti-Pattal (Fazlur Rahman) so long, they started distributing sweets in this news. While writing this news Manjurul Islam was coming to Dhaka from Natore. In his mobile phone, he said, "I will contest the December 30 election with rice beans as the sole candidate of the united front." So now all the people of BNP, civil unity, JSD (RAB), GanaForam and I have equal rights to me. I look forward to cooperation with all. '
Kamrunnahar submitted the nomination papers as the final candidate of the BNP. Shortly afterwards, Manjurul's name was announced as a candidate for rice seed.
Manjurul Islam's elder brother Anwar Hossain told from Lalpur on Saturday evening that hundreds of BNP leaders and activists went to Byanpura to welcome his brother after receiving the news of the nomination. The leader of the Krishak Sramik Janata League, who is going to campaign for the forthcoming election campaign, will soon be presenting the coordination of the united front.
Wahidur Rahman, former president of Lalpur Upazila Jubo Dal, said, "Manjurul Islam is the candidate of the united front as it is easier to win elections." Now everyone has to work together to forget the divisiveness.
However, General Secretary of Lalpur upazila BNP General Secretary Harun-ur-Rashid said, "There has been no information from the party about this so far. We knew the final nomination of Fazlur Rahman Patal's wife Kamrunnahar. Many people are confused because of this change. The next step will be taken according to the direction of the central leaders of the united front or BNP.
Manzurul Islam was the President of Lalpur Upazila Chhatra Dal from 1988 to 1992. He was the President of Jubo Dal from 1992 to 1995 and the district BNP correspondent secretary from 1995 to 2000. After the disagreement with the then State Minister Fazlur Rahman Patel, he was dropped from the organization. In 1996, he was elected chairman of Gopalpur Union Parishad of Lalpur. After the formation of Gopalpur Municipality, the mayor was elected in 2000, 2005 and 2010. He recently joined the Krishak Sramik Janata League.
