A businessperson has been fined Tk 50,000 for the unlawful exchanging and trafficking of wild creatures in Tongi of Gazipur. A few wild creatures were seized amid this time. On Tuesday morning, wild creatures were reallocated in the joint activity of Rapid Action Battalion and Wildlife Crime Control Unit in Tongi Bazar.
Natural life overseer Asim Mallick said in the main light that these creatures were seized from a man's shop in al-Hadi in Tongi Bazar. RAB official officer Sarwar Alam fined him Tk 50,000 for illicitly exchanging and trafficking.
Asim Mallik said that the seized creatures incorporate a monkey, 19 balhans, five owls, 15 shaliks, five birds, a kaleem, two squirrel and seven ti. He said that the market cost of these creatures was seized very nearly two lakhs.
Asim Mallik stated, in the underlying cross examination, Hadi said that feathered creatures are gotten from the woodlands of Sherpur and monkey-wood chapatti from the timberland of Gazipur. Later these creatures were discharged in Gazipur National Park under the administration of Mihir Kumar Dey, Director of Wildlife Crime Control Unit.
